Bridge fit for a king 👑

Hey guys, 

This is an example of my reading work from my 3rd school journal. The activities in this slide are based on the story King Street Bridge. Which is about a girl named Hera, who is overcome with worry because of some bullies. But when the time comes to face them, everything goes black, and she finds herself on the ground again. Except, this time it's different. 

I am proud of this post because of the creative way I have lay it out. This story talks about a girl being bullied, what do you think bullying means?

Flamingo legs?!

For my homework blog this week, I have chosen this activity...
The task was to figure out how to make the number 44, and it didn't just have to be maths. There are probably over 1000 ways to make the number 44! But in this slide I have just covered a few, to cover every single way to make the number 44. It would probably take over a month (Or maybe a week).But here are a few that I have written, in just about under 15 minutes I hope you enjoy reading my slide...

Aqua bolt

For the past few weeks  here in Rimu calss we have been talking and learning about non chron reports. This week we have been doing work around, how to train your dragon race to the edge. We had to design our own dragon, draw a diagram and label it. Then next week we are going to write a non chronological report, based on our dragon.  Here is the dragon I desigend, it is called Poseidon's aqua bolt.

Hey guys and welcome back to my blog. As we all know, today is the 19th of June. But do you know what that means? It means...

WIG WEDNESDAY

Isn't it exciting? For those of you who don't know what that is. Wig day is an annual event that helps raise awarness and support for child cancer foundation. Also raising funds to support kiwi kids with cancer. Now that's a good cause.

Anyway's here at yaldhurst, most students participated in this event. They came to school with a colourful wig, koha (to go to the C.C.F) and a great attitude. Our school (YMS) were able to raise $136.20, how much did your school raise?

For my homework post this week I have chosen to do a book report, on a book I have finished recently.  The book is called puppy love, from the dork diaries series. Written by Rachel Renee Russel. Something that I found difficult during writing this was, figuring out what to put inot the summary.

Basketball fun!

Kia ora!

As you all know my name is Jedi. But what you probably don’t know is that I play basketball! I absolutely love it, (as much as any other sport). Do any of you play basketball? I play for Yaldhurst B-ballers. And I have to say that our first game this year, was super awesome! We were totally crushing the competition that, the score keeper lost track of the goals.

What would happen if there was a solar eclipse, that lasted forever?!

Fantastic features of a Non chronological report

So today in rimu we talked about Non chronological reports (Which is a genre of writing). First we talked about the main things you would find in, a non chronological report. Then as individuals we made a poster on what we learnt.
