Have you heard of my movie CHAOSπŸ’’πŸ’₯? (No)

Hey there!

My homework blog task this week was a really interesting one. I hadn't noticed it until the students in my class began to talk about it. So I had to check it out myself. The task was to, described if a movie was made about my life. Which actor's and actresses would I want to act out my family members.
Here is a movie poster I created about the movie.
I hope you enjoy reading it, while you do maybe you can think of which actor or actress would you want to act out you in a movie.

Holes?!

Kia ora!

And welcome back to my blog. Do you remember how last term rimu class (my class) was reading the book Wonder? Well this term we are reading the book holes bu Louis Sacher as a class, even though I have read this book before I still enjoy it. Because it is quite a good book.

With this book came a few activities to complete, one of them was to write how we felt about the book.
I chose to display my thoughts on google drawings, here it is...

80 - 40 + 41 = ? 🐡

Kia ora!

And welcome back to my blog. Now I know why you're all here, it's because... You miss me!πŸ˜‹
Okay maybe not ( or maybe just a little bit ), but enough about that. Today for my first homework blog-post this term I have chosen to complete, activity 7 (the yellow box in the bottom left corner).

If the answer is eighty-one what is the question?
My task was to come up with a creative question, but the answer to that question had to be 81. And it didn't even have to involve maths!

This is a slide I have made to present my work.
I hope you enjoy reading through it (maybe you might even spot a few cheeky monkeys.

Soooo close!

This is the updated version of the activities I have completed...

She's a super-star!

Hey Bloggers!

Now as some of you might know in one of my most recent posts I set up a challenge. And that challenge was to find out what a Homophone is. And the first person to complete that task was one of my friends Mia.
I think that she has done an outstanding job in explaining what a Homophone is.
You can view her wonderful work by clicking this link.

So now she gets...

A GOLD ST⭐R!

Don't forget you can still complete this challenge any time, and don't even have to make a post about it. A well-written comment will do.

Here is my creation...

If you were to merge two animals together, which two would you choose? Maybe an Elephant + Giraffe, Or a turtle + a cat or a Koala + Panda. Whatever it is, you can tell me about it down in the comment's belowπŸ‘‡

One word... Two meanings πŸ”

WLJ- Activity 3

Helllllooooo,

Today for my 6th WLJ post I have decided to complete activity 3. My task was to talk about Homonyms. A homonym is a word with two different meanings. Like: Bark- The sound a d🐢g makes, and the out layer of a tree. Can you think of any homonyms? If you can then why don't you tell me them down in the comments below?

But for now, here is a google slide I have made on Homonyms.
I hope you enjoyπŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ’›!

Three thrilling commentsπŸ˜ƒ

WLJ- Activity 11

Kia Ora,

Today I have decided not to write my intro but to put it into a video. I have made this video on biteable, which is a free to use site, where you can make awesome videos. You should totally try it out,  but for now. I hope you enjoy watching ≧◡≦...

.

To Amelia-

Hey Amelia,

it's Jedi here from Rimu class ( If you didn't know, I'm in your classroom ◠‿◠ ). It's great to see that you are participating in the Winter Learning Journey. I can see that it is going well for you so far.

I love this post because:
You have added pictures, displayed this task creatively, you have made everything easy to read. And you have written a description. That's super awesome πŸ‘.
Although to make this post better I think you should maybe rewrite the description. Because not every reader might get why you are posting this. Even though I do (Because I am participating in WLJ as well, and have seen that this is activity 17).
Also, I was wondering, how come you chose a Cat and an Ant? Are any of these your favourite animals or insect?

Keep up the great work Amelia!
Jedi(γ₯。◕‿‿◕。)γ₯

To Jonathon-

Kia Ora Jonathon,

My name is Jedi and I am a year eight in rimu class ( as you might know). I think this post is super awesome! Because you have written an Introduction and added a picture of the Phoenixes you have drawn. Did you draw these yourself? Because they are super good! Although I did have the same question as Mia. Isn't a Phoenix a mythical bird, not a dragon?

I also agree with Mia an Amelia. To really knock people's socks off you should add more detail. Maybe a diagram would be a great thing to add.

Great job Jonathon!
JediπŸ‘

To Mia-

Wow!

Kia ora Mia,
It's awesome to see that you are participating in the winter learning journey. I love this post about the Birnny, it's funny because when I was looking through the W.L.J activities and saw this task. I thought of you because this seems like something you would enjoy doing.

I love how you have explained the Birnny in a creative way. Although I have two questions, the first one is. How did you manage to get a canva on your blog? I thought it was impossible. Also How come you chose a bunny and a bird? Are the significant in any way?

From your curious friend

Porci-Chilla?!

Hey Guys!

Guess what, do you remember what the summer learning journey is? Well, these July holiday's I (along with other students) will be participating in a smaller version of that. And it is called: U.M learning journey which stands for Ura Manuka learning journey.

We have a list of  20 activities that we can complete, in no exact order or style. And we may do as many as we like.
I have decided to start with the second activity,  (down below).

I created this presentation on Visme, which is a great site to create online presentations ( You should totally try it out!).

I hope you enjoy reading it🌝...

A bed just for math ;D

For the past two weeks in rimu, the squadrillateral's have been working on negative numbers. And part of that work was learning about BEDMAS. BEDMAS is and acronym to help remember an order of operations in algebra basics. B- brackets  E- exponentes   D- division    M- multiplication   A- addittion   S- subtraction.

This is a DLO (digital learning object) that I have created about BEDMAS. Do you know what BEDMAS is? If you do, did you find it hard learning about?

I hope you enjoy reading my DLO :D

I, the student... have become the teacher!

I, the student... have become the teacher!

Hey guys!

So this week for my homework post I have decided to complete the last task. Which is to teach one or both of my parents a method that I have been learning in maths. I decided to do this task with my dad,  I talked to him about what BEDMAS was. And here is a video I made about it. Sadly there was no footage of me teaching him. But there still is this awesome biteable talking about it.

After you watch it, why don't you leave a comment down below? Tell me if you know BEDMAS is, if you do then did you find it hard learning about it?
